FAQ’s

  • What about the Weather?

NOVA Movie Night will monitor the weather leading up to your date of reservation. Sometimes predictions are inaccurate and we want to make sure you have every opportunity to host your event. In the event the weather is not on our side, we will notify you about postponing or cancelling the morning of the event. Ultimately, we will let you make the final call.

If we arrive and set up our equipment, then have to break down due to thunder and/or lightning, we can reschedule your event at again at half price.

  • What do I need to bring?

The only thing we ask is that you provide a power outlet and the BluRay DVD you want to play for your guests. As far as power goes, ideally, we would like to use two different outlets to prevent any circuit breaker issues.

  • How long is each showing?

Each showing is subject to 2.5 hrs max. We will arrive early on the day of your event to set up run tests on the equipment. Once your showing is over, we will be there to break everything down.

  • What is your refund policy?

NOVA Movie Night does not offer refunds for booked events. However, if you are unable to host your scheduled movie night, we are happy to provide a credit that can be applied toward any future bookings.

If your date is postponed due to weather-related issues, we will work with you to find a date that works within a 30-day window.

  • Will there be a NOVA Movie Night Tech on-site?

We do not typically stay on site. We will set up and test the visual and audio to make sure they work. Then we will get out of the way and let you enjoy your event. But don’t worry, we will stay close by until in case something goes wrong.

  • What time should we start?

The darker the better. Sunlight and projectors mix like oil and water. Ideally 8-8:30pm is the perfect start time during the summer months. In the fall you can start a little earlier (7pm-7:30pm).
